Sio̍k tī pak-pō͘ bó͘ só͘-chāi ū chi̍t ê chí-bē, i pêng-sò͘ sī pài ngó͘-siōng ê lâng, chhoe-it 15 tio̍h khì 6 uī ê keng-biō sio-kim, iā koh hō͘ Chheng-suí tsó͘-su tsoè khoè tsa-bó͘-kiáⁿ. Chhoe-it 15 tio̍h chia̍h kui-ji̍t ê chheng-chhài, nā kàu chit ji̍t, chiū tsá-tsá khí-lâi, khì tsuí káng-thâu koāⁿ chheng-tsuí, sa̍h ta̍k-hāng ê khì-khū, jiân-āu chiah tsú pn̄g, tsú-se̍k tio̍h ēng sin ê oáⁿ-tī. I-ê ta-ke ê kī-sîn nā kàu, teh hàu ê sî tio̍h poa̍h jī saⁿ-tsa̍p poe, chiah soah. Hài--ah! I hō͘ Mô͘-kuí khó͘-chhó͘ kàu án-ni. Kai-tsài tsû-pi ê Thiⁿ-pē kap Tsú Iâ-so͘, ū khui oa̍h-lō͘, siúⁿ-sù Sèng-sîn lâi kám-hoà i-ê sim, hō͘ i tī Bêng-tī 39 nî 10 ge̍h 16 ji̍t tit-tio̍h tō-lí. Thiaⁿ tō-lí sī 1 nî koh 8 ge̍h ji̍t chiū hut-jiân-kan sin-thé jiám-tio̍h pīⁿ, chin chia̍h-la̍t, boē chia̍h boē kiâⁿ iā boē chhan-kiò, to̍k-to̍k kan-khó͘ ê sî, sim-lāi kî-tó Siōng-tè, kiû lîn-bín i, hō͘ i oē thun-lún, keng-kè chiah ê kan-khó͘. In-uī jiám-tio̍h chit khoán ê pīⁿ i ū tó-teh chia̍h 8 ge̍h-ji̍t kú, phak teh chia̍h 6 ge̍h-ji̍t ge̍h-ge̍h ū khah ióng. Ū sî chi̍t poàⁿ pái chhut-lâi thiaⁿ--ni̍h chē. iā goán bián-lē i tio̍h siông-siông thoàn-liān kiâⁿ. I kóng, “Chin ài,” nā-sī tī pak-tó͘ lāi ê tn̂g-á chhin-chhiūⁿ lâng teh chhūn chi̍t-iūⁿ, iā bô siáⁿ khuì-la̍t thang kiâⁿ.
Lūn chit ê lâng ê khó͘-thàng kóng boē chīn. M̄-nā án-ni, i ê tiōng-hu khoàⁿ i pīⁿ kàu án-ni tek-khak boē oa̍h, chiū tsoè i koh khì chhoā pa̍t-ê, lâi tiàm i ê chhù. Ū hō͘ i ê sim thang kan-khó͘ ê só͘-tsāi, tsóng-sī i iā bô kap i kè-kàu. In-uī hit sî pīⁿ chin tāng, bô loā-kú i ê tiōng-hu kap hit lâng chiū poaⁿ-khì pa̍t-uī. Chit-ê chí-bē lóng bô kiáⁿ-jî, chí-ū chhī chi̍t-ê sim-pū-á káⁿ ū 11 hè, pêng-sò͘ tī sin-piⁿ, chin thiàⁿ i. I ê tiōng-hu soà kiò i tio̍h khì thoè hit-ê tsa-bó͘-lâng, án-ni koh khah chhám.
Kai-chài Thiⁿ-pē gâu thoè i ê kiáⁿ-jî pī-pān. Tú-á chi̍t-ê lāu chí-bē sī thiaⁿ-tō-chiá, iā sī kan-khó͘ lâng, chiū lâi kap i tiàm, muí-ge̍h i ê tiōng-hu kià 6 kho͘ gûn hō͘ i tsoè hé-si̍t kap ta̍k hāng ê huì. Hit-tia̍p liáu-āu goá kap kuí-nā ê pêng-iú siông-siông khì bāi i, chiū tsai i chin-chiàⁿ sī kian-kò͘ ê lâng, tsóng-sī bô siáⁿ tsai i-ê kan-khó͘ sī tsáiⁿ-iūⁿ, in-uī i hit-sî kóng-oē boē toā-siaⁿ, lâng nā khì, ài kap lâng kóng, m̄-kú kóng boē chhut-siaⁿ.
Kàu tsûn-nî goán khì hit sî, chiū lio̍h-á khah toā siaⁿ, thang kap i kóng-oē, muí-pái kap i kóng-oē ū siū i ê lī-ek. Sī tsáiⁿ-iūⁿ? Sī i tú-tio̍h hit-hō ke̍k-kî ê khó͘-kéng, chiū-sī hiah tsoē nî tī bîn-chhn̂g lāi, chì-chhin bô khoàⁿ-tio̍h, bô chhiong-chiok ê khai-ēng, sui-sī chit-hō ê khó͘-kéng, iáu-kú m̄-bat hiâm Siōng-tè chi̍t-kù-á, hoán-tńg kóng “Tsú phah I só͘ thiàⁿ ê.” Ū sî mn̄g i ū kàu-gia̍h thang ēng mah? I ìn kóng, “Lâng tit-tio̍h oa̍h m̄-sī chia̍h piáⁿ.” iáu ū siông-siông hō͘ goán kám-kek ê só͘-tsāi. Tsóng lâi kóng, i hit hō kian-jím ê la̍t, tuì tah-lo̍h lâi? M̄-sī i só͘ oē, chiū-sī Tsú hō͘ i. I thiaⁿ tō-lí liáu chiū liâm-piⁿ o̍h Lô-má-jī. Phoà-pīⁿ ê sî Sin Kū-iok í-keng tha̍k chi̍t piàn thàu. Phoà-pīⁿ toā siong-tiōng ê sî kan-ta kiò Tsú Iâ-so͘. Khah khoàⁿ-oa̍h chiū koh hē Sèng-keng tī bîn-chhn̂g-lāi khoàⁿ. Goán khì ta̍k pái khoàⁿ Sèng-chheh tī chím-thâu-piⁿ. Koh i só͘ tha̍k m̄-sī khang-khang tha̍k nā-tiāⁿ. iàu-kín ê ì-sù lóng ū tit-tio̍h, só͘-í chiah oē án-ni. I ia̍h ū kà-sī kap i saⁿ-kap toà ê chí-bē kap kuí-nā ê sè-sio̍k lâng tha̍k pe̍h-oē-jī. Bē tú-tio̍h pīⁿ ê tāi-seng ta̍k lé-pài chhoā jia̍t-sim ê chí-bē khì sì-koè pò͘-tō, in-uī i tsoè lâng chin hó koh iā chèng-keng só͘-í lâng-lâng to o-ló. Hiān-tsāi iáu-kú khah siông tī bîn-chhn̂g chē. Nā bô kan-khó͘ chiū khoàⁿ Kàu-hoē-pò, á-sī siáⁿ goā-chheh. Khoàⁿ i só͘ hián-chhut si̍t-tsāi ū Sèng-sîn chhiong-moá. Kám-siā Siōng-tè I ê tō-lí kàu chiah toā kong-hāu si̍t-tsāi tio̍h o-ló I.
Taⁿ siá chiah-ê ǹg-bāng tāi-ke lâi siūⁿ, Tsú m̄-nā pang-tsān chit-ê chí-bē nā-tiāⁿ, iā beh tsān hoān-nā tú-tio̍h kan-khó͘ sū ê lâng. Kèng chhiáⁿ lia̍t-uī thè i kî-tó, ǹg-bāng i ê sin-thé bô kú lóng ióng-kiāⁿ, sī só͘ bāng.

起厝佇石磐頂。

屬佇北部某所在有一個姊妹,伊平素是拜偶像的人,初一15著去6位的宮廟燒金,也閣予清水祖師做契查某囝。初一15著食規日的清菜,若到這日,就早早起來,去水港頭koāⁿ清水,sa̍h逐項的器具,然後才煮飯,煮熟著用新的碗箸。伊的 ta-ke 的忌辰若到,teh孝的時著跋二三十杯,才煞。Hài--ah!伊予魔鬼苦楚到按呢。佳哉慈悲的天父佮主耶穌,有開活路,賞賜聖神來感化伊的心,予伊佇明治39年10月16日得著道理。聽道理是1年閣8月日就忽然間身體染著病,真食力,袂食袂行也袂chhan叫,獨獨艱苦的時,心內祈禱上帝,求憐憫伊,予伊會吞忍,經過chiah的艱苦。因為染著這款的病伊有倒teh食8月日久,phak teh食6月日月月有較勇。有時一半擺出來廳--ni̍h坐。也阮勉勵伊著常常鍛鍊行。伊講,「真愛,」若是佇腹肚內的腸仔親像人teh chhūn一樣,也無啥氣力通行。
論這个人的苦痛講袂盡。M̄-nā按呢,伊的丈夫看伊病到按呢的確袂活,就做伊閣去chhoā別的,來踮伊的厝。有予伊的心通艱苦的所在,總是伊也無佮伊計較。因為彼時病真重,無偌久伊的丈夫佮彼人就搬去別位。這个姊妹攏無囝兒,只有飼一个新婦仔敢有11歲,平素佇身邊,真疼伊。伊的丈夫紲叫伊著去替彼个查某人,按呢閣較慘。
佳哉天父gâu替伊的囝兒備辦。拄仔一个老姊妹是聽道者,也是艱苦人,就來佮伊踮,每月伊的丈夫寄6箍銀予伊做伙食佮逐項的費。彼霎了後我佮幾若的朋友常常去覓伊,就知伊真正是堅固的人,總是無啥知伊的艱苦是怎樣,因為伊彼時講話袂大聲,人若去,愛佮人講,毋kú講袂出聲。
到tsûn年阮去彼時,就略á較大聲,通佮伊講話,每擺佮伊講話有受伊的利益。是怎樣?是伊拄著彼號極其的苦境,就是hiah濟年佇眠床內,至親無看著,無充足的開用,雖是這號的苦境,iáu-kú毋捌嫌上帝一句仔,反轉講「主拍伊所疼的。」有時問伊有夠額通用mah?伊應講,「人得著活毋是食餅。」猶有常常予阮感激的所在。總來講,伊彼號艱忍的力,對tah落來?毋是伊所會,就是主予伊。伊聽道理了就連鞭學羅馬字。破病的時新舊約已經讀一遍透。破病大傷重的時kan-ta叫主耶穌。較看活就閣下聖經佇眠床內看。阮去逐擺看聖冊佇枕頭邊。閣伊所讀毋是空空讀nā-tiāⁿ。要緊的意思攏有得著,所以才會按呢。伊亦有教示佮伊相佮蹛的姐妹佮幾若的世俗人讀白話字。袂拄著病的代先逐禮拜chhoā熱心的姊妹去四界佈道,因為伊做人真好閣也正經所以人人to呵咾。現在iáu-kú較常佇眠床坐。若無艱苦就看教會報,抑是啥外冊。看伊所顯出實在有聖神充滿。感謝上帝伊的道理到才大功效實在著呵咾伊。
