Tī 4 ge̍h 28 hō goán khì hù Tsuí-tńg-kah Bo̍k-su ê chiūⁿ-jīm-sek; āu-lâi ū kuí-nā ê Bo̍k-su Sian-siⁿ kap chhong-iú, ài sūn-lō͘ khì-khoàⁿ N̂g Chiong-goân ê bōng. Chiū chē 3 tiàm 18 hun ê chhia khì Sek-kháu, tuì hia oāⁿ chē kheng-piān-chhia ti̍t-ti̍t kàu hit tè (chit só͘-tsāi kiò-tsoè Saⁿ-tiuⁿ-lê tsng; lī Sek-kháu bô kuí lí lō͘.) Kàu uī chi̍t ē khoàⁿ-khoàⁿ, chiū tsai chit só͘-tsāi pún bô sím-mi̍h jîn-ke teh khiā-khí; tī khah oá bōng hit uī, chí ū chi̍t kháu-chàu nā-tiāⁿ. Goán koh chìn-chêng kiâⁿ ê sî, chhâ-put-to tio̍h that hī-khang, sī tiám-á-lāi ê lâng, ta̍k-ê chin hó-chhuì kiò goán kóng, “Lâi chē, lâi chia̍h tê chiah khì.” Nā-sī in teh kiò, pa̍t lâng chiū ū ke-thiⁿ kuí-nā kù ê tiⁿ-giân bi̍t-gú, tsoè in thàn chîⁿ ê jī, kóng, “Heh! chit-ê N̂g Chiong-goân goā--ni̍h ū siàⁿ lah! lâng nā tâu-hē chiū ún-tàng tit-tio̍h èng-hāu. Hoān-nā boē kim tsoá ê lâng, bô lūn ta-po͘ á hū-jîn-lâng lóng chi̍t ki chhuì ku̍t-liù-liù, ēng chiah ê iú-he̍k ê oē, tsōng lâng ê sim, lâi ka-kī tit-tio̍h tsâi-lī. Goán chhin-sin tuì hit só͘-tsāi iâu-giân ê hū-jîn-lâng só͘ chhâ-mn̄g ê. Taⁿ lâi lūn goán só͘ chhâ-mn̄g. Goán ji̍p khì chi̍t tè chhù, sī ài chhâ chit ê tāi-chì ê goân-iû. Hit keng chhù sī kē-kē koh pháiⁿ-pháiⁿ, chiū tsai sī kan-khó͘ lâng teh khiā-khí. Í-keng ji̍p khì ū chi̍t ê lāu hū-jîn-lâng kap nn̄g ê tiong-liân ê chí-bē chhut-lâi saⁿ chih-chiap. Goán kuí-nā lâng saⁿ-soà kā i mn̄g; in m̄ tsai goán sī sìn Tsú ê lâng. Ū chi̍t ê poàⁿ-ló-lāu ê hū-jîn-lâng kóng, “Chit ê tāi-chì goá tē-it tsai”, chiū put-chí hó táⁿ koah ū soà-phah tuì thâu it-lí kóng hō͘ goán thiaⁿ. Chiàu i só͘ kóng siá tī ē-té:-
“Goán tī tsa̍p-it nî chêng tuì pa̍t-uī poaⁿ lâi chia khiā-khí. Hit-sî ū lâng tsú khì tī hia teh hàu; nā-sī goán sī tú-á soá lâi chiah m̄-tsai: koh bô joā-kú goá khì chhò chhâ khoàⁿ-kìⁿ ū lâng teh kàu, goá chiū chhuì-tāng-chhuì kóng, Hit bōng ê chháu-á ū sím-mi̍h tī-teh? Goa! án-ni kóng, chiū boē-ti̍t lah! Tò-lâi hit mê liâm-piⁿ thâu-hîn ba̍k-àm chin kan-khó͘; āu-lâi hē i chiū tām-po̍h khah hó; keh ji̍t goá chiū tsú kui-oáⁿ-á khì hàu chiâⁿ-si̍t lóng hó. Liáu-āu koh kè bô joā-kú, goá koh khì phut chhâ kàu hit uī, khì hō͘ chi̍t ê chhiū-le kau-tio̍h thâu-tsang, goá chiū siū-khì kóng, Ū sím-mi̍h tī-teh? soà chiong hit le-á chhò-khí-lâi. Hò͘! iū hāi lah! chèng-thâu iū kan-khó͘! iā hit àm kap goán cha-po͘-lâng teh khùn, goá tī chhn̂g-chêng bîn-bîn ê sî, hut-jiân khoàⁿ-kìⁿ chi̍t-ê chhēng pe̍h-saⁿ pe̍h-khò͘ ê lâng khiā tī bīn-chêng, ti̍t-ti̍t siòng goá, goá chiah tio̍h kiaⁿ, kín hoan ji̍p khì chhn̂g āu. I chiū tuì goán ang kóng, Lín bó͘ tsáiⁿ-iūⁿ kóng goá bô sím-mi̍h tī-teh? I mn̄g i kóng, Lí sī chī-tsuī? ìn kóng, Goá sī N̂g Chiong-goân; koh kóng, Lí nā chiong goá ê kut-thâu kā goá koh siu-bâi khah hó-sè, goá tek-khak pì-iū lín chi̍t-ke ê lâng. Kóng soah chiū bô-khì. Heh! goá chiah kan-ta kóng hit kù, Ū siáⁿ tī-teh nā-tiāⁿ, chiū liâm-piⁿ phoà-pīⁿ, koh i soà hián-sin lâi chek-pī; chiâⁿ si̍t ū-iáⁿ chin siàⁿ lín tsai m̄?” Mn̄g kóng, “Tuì hit sî í-āu, bat koh bāng-kìⁿ bô?” ìn kóng, Lóng m̄ bat; put-kò keh ji̍t goán chiū khì kā i khioh kut-thâu, chí-ū nn̄g tè nā-tiāⁿ, chiah chiong hit nn̄g tè kā i siu-bâi. Chin ū-iáⁿ èng-hāu, goán cha-po͘-lâng ū kha phoà-pīⁿ keng-kè chi̍t nn̄g ji̍t lóng hó.” Mn̄g kóng, “Nā sī tī tsa̍p nî chêng chiū tsai chit ê sū, tsáiⁿ-iūⁿ hiah kú lóng bô thiaⁿ-kìⁿ, kàu kū-nî lâi chiah teh heng-khí?” ìn kóng, “Tī í-chêng sī tsāi-kūn ê lâng tsai thang lâi hàu nā-tiāⁿ; kàu kū-nî goán ê pâng-chhin bó͘ lâng, chhut-thâu siat-hoat toê-chîⁿ khì chhiàⁿ lâng phah bōng-pâi, khí têng-á siu-chéng ta̍k hāng. Tuì hit-tia̍p nā pò-iông, chiū kàu hn̄g ê lâng iā soà tsai thang lâi. Mn̄g kóng, “Lín cha-po͘-lâng iáu tī-teh bô?” ìn kóng, “Ū ah, iáu tī-teh”. Koh mn̄g i tsoè sím-mi̍h keng-kí; chiū kóng, Hiān-sî tsoè chi̍t-ê sió seng-lí-á, boē koá kim hiuⁿ tsoá. Piⁿ-á teh khiā chi̍t-ê gín-ná chiap-chhuì kóng, “Hit keng siāng-oá bōng-piⁿ ê liâu-á chiū-sī in teh boē.” Goán thiaⁿ kàu chia chiū tsai hit-ê lâi-le̍k kap in-toaⁿ lah; chiah saⁿ-sî chhut-lâi, koh hoân-ló in-uī i hō͘ Mô͘-kuí phiàn kàu án-ni.
Tò-tńg kàu bōng ê sî koh khoàⁿ-kìⁿ tī hit-ê oe̍h-oe̍h ê têng-á-lāi, kuí-nā ê lāu hū-jîn-lâng kap cha-po͘ lâng; ū-ê sio hiuⁿ, ū-ê poa̍h-poe, thiu-chhiam ê iā ū, the̍h hiuⁿ-hu beh tsoè io̍h ê iā ū; hit hō hiuⁿ-hu kóng sī lô͘-tan. Khoàⁿ-kìⁿ chit khoán ê chêng-hêng, sim boē bián sng-nńg, pi-thàn ê sî ba̍k-sái beh lâu chhut-lâi, put-kìm thoè in be̍k-tó tī lán ê Tsú, kiû Tsú hō͘ chit khoán ê khiàn-sńg oē bia̍t-bô.

信主的heng-chí ah!恁捌聽見黃Chiong-goân靈顯的事mah?我這霎愛將所聽著佮親目所看見--的,寫報恁知:-
佇4月28號阮去赴Tsuí-tńg-kah牧師的上任式;後來有幾若个牧師先生佮窗友,愛順路去看黃Chiong-goân的墓。就坐3點18分的車去錫口,對遐換坐輕便車直直到彼塊(這所在叫做三張犁庄;離錫口無幾里路。)到位一下看看,就知這所在本無甚物人家teh徛起;佇較倚墓彼位,只有一口灶nā-tiāⁿ。總是現時已經有tah20左右間的草寮佇遐賣物食以及金香紙燭逐項,儼然成一个鬧熱的小庄仔。閣佇彼tsām-á路,約幾十步nā-tiāⁿ,iáu-kú不時有十外的乞食,有時較濟,踮佇彼路邊chhun長手共人求乞。按呢佇這項就到額予咱知,逐日有偌濟人teh往來。有人講捌一日幾若千人。阮閣進前行的時,差不多著that耳孔,是tiám-á內的人,逐个真好喙叫阮講,「來坐,來食茶才去。」若是in teh叫,別人就有加添幾若句的甜言蜜語,做in趁錢的字,講,「Heh!這个黃Chiong-goân外--ni̍h有siàⁿ lah!人若投下就穩當得著應效。朋友ah!來,來買一寡去下伊,就有福氣」。凡若賣金紙的人,無論ta-po͘抑婦人人攏一支喙掘-liù-liù,用chiah的誘惑的話,狀人的心,來家己得著財利。到墓的時,就看見墓頂已經起一間瓦亭仔,亭前兩塊桌,予人排牲禮佮糕仔餅等等的物,到tīⁿ that-that:閣有設一位搬戲的所在,予人通請戲去遐搬;佇彼下晡也有teh做。佇墓的右爿,有起一个燒銀紙的所在,規日有人teh燒,火不時teh著。彼下晡天烏陰烏陰,真秋凊,iáu-kú阮徛一霎仔,擋攏袂tiâu,汗直直流--出來。離墓的後面約倚兩丈闊,三四丈長的內面所有的草khau到無半支,連成人懸的tsa̍p樹仔枝葉,也予人at去做藥。有人khau遐的草仔佮草根,縛一把仔一把仔下佇墓頭頂;逐把敢毋上半兩重,iáu-kú人若欲the̍h一把,著lok一仙錢佇彼邊仔的銅管仔內,來共伊買。較常袂得通幾若十chí,有時講也捌袂到幾百chí。Taⁿ chiah的事毋通講到傷清楚;著來論彼个訛傳的原因:-
論這个原因,照我所知有兩款:-
1.就是照台灣日日新報所出彼篇。
2.阮親身對彼所在謠言的婦人人所查問的。Taⁿ來論阮所查問。阮入去一塊厝,是愛查這个代誌的原由。彼間厝是低低閣歹歹,就知是艱苦人teh徛起。已經入去有一個老婦人人佮兩个中年的姊妹出來相接接。阮幾若人相續共伊問;in毋知阮是信主的人。有一個半ló老的婦人人講,「這个代誌我第一知」,就不止好膽割有紲拍對頭一理講予阮聽。照伊所講寫佇下底:-
「阮佇十一年前對別位搬來遮徛起。彼時有人tsú去佇遐teh孝;若是阮是拄仔徙來才毋知:閣無偌久我去剉柴看見有人teh孝,我就喙動喙講,彼墓的草仔有甚物佇teh?Goā!按呢講,就袂ti̍t lah!倒來彼暝連鞭頭暈目暗真艱苦;後來下伊就淡薄較好;隔日我就煮規碗仔去孝成實攏好。了後閣過無偌久,我閣去phut柴到彼位,去予一个樹-le鈎著頭鬃,我就受氣講,有甚物佇teh?紲將彼le-á剉起來。Hò͘!又害lah!症頭又艱苦!也彼暗佮阮查晡人teh睏,我佇床前眠眠的時,忽然看見一个穿白衫白褲的人徛佇面前,直直相我,我才著驚,緊翻入去床後。伊就對阮翁講,恁某怎樣講我無甚物佇teh?伊問伊講,你是chī-tsuī?應講,我是黃Chiong-goân;閣講,你若將我的骨頭共我閣收埋較好勢,我的確庇佑恁一家的人。講煞就無去。Heh!我chiah kan-ta講彼句,有啥佇teh nā-tiāⁿ,就連鞭破病,閣伊紲現身來責備;成實有影真siàⁿ恁知毋?」問講,「對彼時以後,捌閣夢見無?」應講,攏毋捌;不過隔日阮就去共伊拾骨頭,只有兩塊nā-tiāⁿ,才將彼兩塊共伊收埋。真有影應效,阮查甫人有跤破病經過一兩日攏好。」問講,「若是佇十年前就知這个事,怎樣hiah久攏無聽見,到舊年來才興起?」應講,「佇以前是在近的人知通來孝nā-tiāⁿ;到舊年阮的房親某人,出頭設法題錢去倩人拍墓牌,起亭仔修整逐項。對彼霎若報揚,就到遠的人也紲知通來。問講,「恁查甫人猶佇teh無?」應講,「有ah,猶佇teh」。閣問伊做甚物keng-kí;就講,現時做一个小生理仔,賣寡金香紙。邊仔teh徛一个囡仔接喙講,「彼間siāng倚墓邊的寮仔就是in teh賣。」阮聽到遮就知彼个來歷佮因端lah;才相辭出來,閣煩惱因為伊予魔鬼騙到按呢。
倒轉到墓的時閣看見佇彼个狹狹的亭仔內,幾若的老婦人人佮查甫人;有的燒香,有的跋杯,抽籤的也有,the̍h香灰欲做藥的也有;彼號香灰講是爐丹。看見這款的情形,心袂免酸軟,悲嘆的時目屎欲流出來,不禁替in默禱佇咱的主,求主予這款的khiàn損會滅無。
