“Kin-á-ji̍t tī “Í-sek-lia̍t cho̍k-tiong, Goân-soè sí, lín kiám m̄ chai?” II Sat-bó-ní 3:38.
Nî-lāi 12 goe̍h Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ hō͘ Siōng-tè tiàu lī-khui sè-kan. Hit-sî tang-sai lâm-pak ê lâng sì-kè nā tú-tio̍h thâu chiū kóng-khí, Lí kiám m̄-chai tē-it toā Thoân-tō sian-seⁿ í-keng koè-óng?
I chin-chiàn ē kham-tit hō-chò toā, pêng-sò͘ bat kàu ta̍k só͘-chāi piàn-piàn thoân hok-im; hán-tit ū lâng chhin-chhiūⁿ i tì-kàu hō͘ hiah chē lâng thiaⁿ, hiah gâu kám-kek lâng ê sim.
Lūn i ê sìn ke̍k toā, só͘-í ū-sî pa̍t-uī ê bo̍k-su ài chhiáⁿ khì hia kuí-ji̍t kú kóng tō-lí. I chiū tāi-seng kià phoe lâi mn̄g, “Khoàⁿ tī lín hia ê pài-tn̂g loā toā keng, ū thang chē-tit loā chē lâng?” Bo̍k-su chiap-tio̍h phoe tāi-ke chiū sit-bāng kóng, “Beh tó-uī chhoē pài-tn̂g hiah toā keng, iā kiám ū hiah chē lâng ài lâi?” In hoê phoe kā i kóng. M̄-kú chhin-chhiūⁿ O͘-nî-lân ū lâng tuì choa̍t-bāng liáu, tú-tio̍h chi̍t ê toā koaⁿ beh lâi, tāi-ke chiū chhut la̍t kong-ke khí chi̍t keng chhâ-chhù kàu-gia̍h khoah toā. Pún sī beh chò gī-sū ê kong-só͘, āu-lâi bô ēng,chiū tú-hó chiong hit-keng lâi chò Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ ê lō͘-ēng.
Hit-sî Sian-seⁿ kàu-tè chiah kóng, “Goá kám bô kā lín kóng lâng nā ū kian-sim chhim-sìn, Siōng-tè tek-khak ē thè lâng khui lō͘,chhin-chhiūⁿ kin-á-ji̍t tī chit ê só͘-chāi, chiah lī-piān?” Hit-tia̍p sì-hng ê lâng toā-toā kám-tōng heng-khí, ū-ê lâi chò Chú ê kang; u-ê chhut-goā chò thoân-tō. Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ m̄-sī toā bat-jī ê lâng. Lāu-bú sī chiú-koáⁿ-lâng , bô ki-hoē thang hō͘ i ê kiáⁿ khì tha̍k; i iā bô sáⁿ ài tha̍k. Sè-hàn choh-sit, kàu 17 hoè khì toà tiàm kā in siá-jī kì-siàu. Tī-hia nn̄g nî kú, āu-lâi khì pa̍t-siâⁿ chò kang. Tī hit siâⁿ sìn Chú, tuì khí-thâu chin jia̍t-sim, liâm piⁿ khì chhoē bô hē-lo̍h ê gín-ná siat Chú-ji̍t-o̍h tī in ê tiong-kan, pún-sin khì kò͘ liāu-lí. Chò kang-liáu, ta̍k ē-hng sì-koè chio lâng khì hok-im-tn̂g thiaⁿ tō-lí. Koh bô loā-kú Bí-kok ū khì kau-chiàn,peh sèⁿ chhiáⁿ I kap peng khì chò thoân tō. Kau-chiàn liáu-āu sì-koè chò thoân-tō; iā sī chō kuí-nā pún si-chheh í-ki̍p pa̍t-mi̍h chheh. Hiah ê chheh chin hó bē, sǹg sī toā ê seng-lí, toā thàn.
Sian-seⁿ ēng só͘ thàn ê chîⁿ khí nn̄g keng toā-o̍h. Chi̍t-keng ta-po͘--ê, chi̍t-keng hō͘ cha-bó͘--ê; nn̄g keng ē chiap-la̍p 800 ê ha̍k-seng. Ta̍k-nî tuì bē chheh só͘ thàn ê chîⁿ khì chān hit nn̄g keng ê só͘-huì, in-uī ha̍k-seng thiap bô kàu chiok.
Thiaⁿ Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ kóng tō-lí si̍t-chāi sī toā hok-khì, kóng chhin-chhiūⁿ oa̍h ê khoán, chai só͘ thiaⁿ ê lâng nā bô sìn, éng ē tîm-lûn; i chin m̄-goān, soà kóng chhin-chhiūⁿ boé pái ê ki-hoē. Sèng-keng tuì thâu kàu boé chin se̍k, gâu khui-thiah, gâu ēng phì-jū, só͘ phì-jū chin tú-hó ha̍p i só͘ kóng-ê.
I koh gâu liāu-lí tāi-chì. Nā kàu-tē bo̍k-su hiaⁿ-tī chí-moē chin hoaⁿ-hí tàu-chān i; ū-ê sì-koè chio lâng; ū-ê khoàⁿ ū uī hō͘ lâi thiaⁿ ê lâng thang chē. Ū-ê chān chit hāng ū-ê chān hit-hāng, kú Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ pún-sin lóng teh chóng liāu-lí. Ū hok-im-tn̂g ē chē kàu 1,5000 lâng iû-goân bô kàu-gia̍h, ū-ê éng bô uī thang chē. Koâⁿ-thiⁿ, lo̍h sng-seh ta̍k-lâng lóng bô hiâm. Ta̍k keng chē kàu cha̍t thóng-thóng bô làng chi̍t uī.
I kî-si̍t m̄ sī ài lāu-jia̍t, só͘ ài sī kiù lâng, só͘ kóng ê tō-lí ke̍k-chhián koh bêng. I siàu-liân ê sî só͘ kóng put-kò pêng-siông, chiū bat thêng kuí-nā ji̍t , Goá só͘ kóng-ê lóng bô kám-kek lâng ê sim tàu-tí àn-choáⁿ? Tuì hit-tia̍p kàu sí m̄ bat koh khoà-lū, ta̍k pái kóng ū chē-chē lâng sìn, put-lūn chun-kuì khit-chia̍h ta̍k téng-hō ê lâng kam-goān kiâⁿ kuí-nā phò͘ lō͘ khì thiaⁿ i kóng.
Sui-bóng 60 goā hoè iáu-kú lóng bô thêng-kang, nn̄g keng o̍h iā kuí i teh liāu-lí, í-ki̍p chheh-pâng kok hāng sū, i lóng teh hoa̍t-lo̍h.
Phoà-pēⁿ hoat-choh hit-sî iû-goân teh kóng tō-lí tī toā keng ê tn̂g. Chīn-chāi chhut-la̍t kiaⁿ-liáu tuì án-ni lô-sim kò-tō͘ ka-tī bô phah-sǹg ē sí. CHóng-sī Siōng-tè ê chí-ì sī tiāⁿ-tio̍h beh soah i sè-kan ê tio̍h-boâ, kàu lîm-chiong hit-sî kā in ke-lāi--ê kóng, “Taⁿ tē ná-lī ná-hn̄g; thiⁿ ná-oá ná-kīn. Siōng-tè teh kiò goá khì.”
Koh kóng, “Goá sī tham-sim ê lâng, kú m̄ sī tham-sim chîⁿ-châi; tham beh lâu kang hō͘ lín sī-sè chò. Taⁿ hit nn̄g keng o̍h kap chheh-pâng lín téng khí lâi hoāⁿ.” I ê cha-bó͘-kiáⁿ bô ài i khì, kā i kóng. I chiū ìn kóng, “Goá m̄ sī beh pàng-sak sèⁿ-miā; Siōng-tè nā iáu beh ēng goá chò-kang, goá chiū bē sí.”
Bô loā-kú khuì chiū tn̄g.
Tuì Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ thang chai, lâng nā hiàn pún-sin hō͘ Siōng-tè; koh choân-sim chò Chú ê kang; sui-bóng chi̍t lâng nā tiāⁿ, iáu-kú ē ín-chhoā lâng chin-chē.
Taⁿ Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ hō͘ Siōng-tè tiàu, chit sè-kan si̍t-chāi toā-toā khiàm-khoeh. Tē-it chhut-la̍t hó-táⁿ, tē-it gâu ín-chhoā lâng, sī Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ; oa̍h sī uī-tio̍h Ki-tok sí sī i ê lī-ek.
Che sī tām-po̍h kán-kán lâi kóng nā-tiāⁿ. ǹg-bāng só͘ tha̍k ê lâng, ū-ê siū kám-kek, him-bō͘ ài chò Bú-tī Sian-seⁿ ê khoán.
“Chiong-sin ê kang to lóng bêng-pe̍k. Taⁿ i chiūⁿ kàu thian-kok; éng-oán kap Chú chò-hoé kau-poê, tit tio̍h bān-nî toā-hok.”

年內12 月Bú-tī先生hō͘上帝召離開世間。Hit時東西南北ê人四界若tú著頭就講起。你kiám m̄知第一大傳道先生已經過往?
伊真正會堪tit號做大,平素bat到逐所在遍遍傳福音;罕tit有人親像伊致到hō͘ hiah 濟人聽,hiah gâu 感激人ê心。
論伊ê 信極大,所以有時別位ê牧師ài請去hia 幾日久講道理。伊就代先寄批來問:「看tī lín hia ê拜堂偌大間,有thang 坐tit偌濟人?」牧師接著批大家就失望講:「Beh tó位chhoē 拜堂hiah 大間,也kiám有hiah 濟人ài來?」 In 回批kā 伊講。M̄-kú 親像O͘-nî-lân有人對絕望了,tú著1個大官beh來,逐家就出力公家起 1間柴厝夠額闊大。本是beh 做議事ê公所,後--來無用,就tú好將hit 間來做Bú-tī先生ê路用。
Hit 時先生到tè 才講:「我kám無kā lín講人若有堅心深信,上帝的確會替咱開路,親像今仔日tī 這個所在,才利便?」Hit-tia̍p 四方ê人大大感動興起,有ê來做主ê工,有ê出外做傳道。Bú-tī 先生 m̄是大bat 字 ê人。老母是守寡人,無機會thang hō͘ 伊ê子去讀;伊也無啥ài 讀。細漢作穡,到17歲去toà店kā in 寫字記數。Tī hia 兩年久,後--來去別城做工。Tī hit城信主,對起頭真熱心,liâm-piⁿ去chhoē 無下落ê囡仔設主日學tī in ê中間,本身去顧料理。做工了,逐e 昏四界招人去福音堂聽道理,Koh無偌久美國有去交戰,百姓請伊kap兵去做傳道。交戰了後,四界做傳道,也是造幾若本詩冊。Hiah-ê冊真好賣,算是大ê生理,大趁。
先生用所趁ê錢起2間大學,1間查甫--ê,1 間hō͘查某--ê,兩間會接納800個學生。逐年對賣冊所趁ê 錢去贊hit兩間 ê所費,因為學生thiap無夠足。
聽Bú-tī 先生講道理實在是大福氣,講親像活ê款,知所聽ê人若無信,往會沉淪,伊真m̄願,續講親像尾擺ê機會。聖經對頭到尾真熟,gâu開拆、gâu 用譬喻,所譬喻真tú好合伊所講-- ê。
伊koh gâu 料理代誌。若到地牧師兄弟姊妹真歡喜鬥贊--伊;有 ê四界招人,有ê看有位hō͘來聽 ê人thang 坐。有-- ê贊這項,有--ê贊hit項,Kú Bú-tī先生本身攏teh總料理。有福音堂濟到15,000人猶原無夠額,有--ê往無位thang坐。看天落霜雪逐人攏無嫌。逐間坐到cha̍t thóng-thóng無làng 1位。
伊其實m̄是ài 鬧熱,所ài 是救人,所講ê道理極淺koh明。伊少年ê時所講不過平常,就bat 停幾若日,我所講--ê攏無感激人ê心到底àn-choáⁿ?Tuì hit-tia̍p到死m̄-bat koh掛慮,逐擺講有濟濟人信,不論尊貴乞食逐等號ê人甘願行幾若舖路去聽伊講。
雖罔60 外歲iáu-kú 攏無停工,兩間學亦歸伊teh 料理,以及冊房各項事,伊攏teh 發落。
破病發作hit時猶原teh 講道理tī大間ê堂,盡在出力驚了對án-ni勞心kò肚,家己無扑算會死。總--是上帝ê旨意是定著bē煞伊世間ê著磨,到臨終hit 時kā in 家內--ê講:「今地那離那遠;天那倚那近。上帝teh叫我去。」
Koh講:「我是貪心ê人,koh m̄是貪心錢財,貪beh留工hō͘ lín 序細做。今hit兩間學kap冊房lín 等起來hoāⁿ。」伊ê查某子無ài伊去,kā 伊講。伊就應講:「我m̄ 是beh放sak性命,上帝若iáu beh用我做工,我就bē死。」
無偌久氣就斷。
對Bú-tī先生thang知,人若獻本身hō͘上帝,koh全心做主ê工,雖罔1人nā-tiāⁿ,iáu-kú 會引chhoā 人真濟。
今Bú-tī先生hō͘上帝召,這 世間實在大大欠缺。第一出力、好膽,第一gâu引chhoā 人,是Bú-tī 先生,活是為著基督死是為伊ê利益。
這是淡薄簡簡來講nā-tiāⁿ。向望所讀ê人,有ê受感激,欣慕ài做Bú-tī 先生ê款。
「終身ê工都攏明白。今伊上到天國;永遠kap主做伙交陪,得著萬年大福。」
