Bo̍k-chú chiū-sī Tiong-kok tē it tuì-tiōng ê chhâ-siōng; choē-choē lâng tuì-tiōng bo̍k-chú, pí tuì-tiōng ta̍k hō ê chhâ-siōng koh-khah iàu-kín; in-uī in phah-sǹg bo̍k-chú sī in ê pē-bú kong-má, só͘-í tē it tuì-tiōng--i.
ia̍h chin-choē lâng kóng, Lín Iâ-so͘-kàu ê lâng, kà lâng bô pài pu̍t, che khah oē kóng--tit, chóng-sī kà lâng bô pē-bú kong-má, chit-chat toā m̄-tio̍h; in-uī bô pē-bú kong-má m̄-sī lâng. án-ni thiaⁿ lâng só͘ kóng ê oē, chiū thang chai sè-sio̍k lóng sī jīn bo̍k-chú choè in ê pē-bú kong-má sī bêng. Koh khoàⁿ in ê khoán-sit, m̄-nā tuì-tiōng i chhin-chhiūⁿ pē-bú kong-má nā-tiāⁿ; ia̍h sī kuī-pài ho̍k-sāi lâi kèng--i, pí kèng siⁿ i sin-khu ê pē-bú, koh-khah kàu-lé; in-uī siⁿ i sin-khu ê pē-bú, oa̍h taⁿ-sî, bē-bat khoàⁿ-kìⁿ ū lâng chhin-chhiūⁿ án-ni ho̍k-sāi--i; chiok-kiàn sè-sio̍k tuì-tiōng bo̍k-chú, pí tuì-tiōng pē-bú lé-sò͘ kiâⁿ khah kàu.
Cha-khó thong Tiong-kok ê lâng, chha-put-to sī án-ni, tāi-tāi siong-thoân í-keng kú; si̍t-chāi oh-tit koé-oāⁿ; só͘-í lâng thiaⁿ lán kóng tō-lí, lóng sī hiâm lán bô pē-bú kong-má; in-uī lán bô chhin-chhiūⁿ in kuī-pài ho̍k-sāi, só͘-í in tāi-ke hiâm lán bô pē-bú kong-má; hong-sio̍k kàu chiah loān, toā chó͘-tòng tō-lí. Ū lâng in-uī chit chat sim toā m̄ kam-goān, chiū khí khún-tio̍k kiáu-jiáu. Ū lâng in-uī chit chat toā siū-khì, chiū khí saⁿ-chiⁿ piān-pok. Ū lâng in-uī án-ni oàn-hūn, chiū khí iâu-giân huí-pòng. Ū lâng in-uī án-ni m̄ hoaⁿ-hí, chiū khí iàm-chiān kū-choa̍t ê khoán-sit. Khoàⁿ ta̍k só͘-chāi thoân tō-lí, só͘ tú--tio̍h siông-siông án-ni; só͘-í thoân-tō ê lâng siông-siông khoà-lū chit chat ê sū. Bo̍k-su hiaⁿ-tī ia̍h choē-choē lâng ū siūⁿ chit chat ê tō-lí, khoàⁿ tio̍h cháiⁿ-iūⁿ lâi gī-lūn, kàu oē hō͘ i bêng-bêng pe̍k-pe̍k, thang hō͘ lâng ê sim thong-ta̍t, kàu oē hoaⁿ-hí hâng-ho̍k sìn lán ê Chú Iâ-so͘ ê chin-lí.
ia̍h choē-choē lâng siūⁿ m̄ chai tio̍h siat sím-mi̍h hoat-tō͘, thang hō͘ lâng bô hiâm lán bô pē-bú kong-má; án-ni ǹg-bāng khah boē hō͘ lâng m̄ khéng thiaⁿ lán kóng tō-lí. Só͘-í ta̍k só͘-chāi Bo̍k-su kap thoân-tō--ê, í-ki̍p chèng hiaⁿ-tī, siông-siông ū gī-lūn chit chat bo̍k-chú ê sū. Taⁿ chiong thoân-tō ê lâng, kap thiaⁿ tō ê pêng-iú, só͘ saⁿ-kap gī-lūn ê oē, tāi-lio̍k kì-chài tī ē-toé. Liōng ta̍k só͘-chāi ê Tiong-kok lâng chha-put-to sī án-ni, só͘-í kì-chài hō͘ tāi-ke thang khoàⁿ; ǹg-bāng oē lī-ek ta̍k só͘-chāi ê kàu-hoē, kap ta̍k só͘-chāi ê chèng lâng, sī sim só͘-goān.
Chá ū nn̄g ê thiaⁿ tō ê lâng, chiū-kūn goá lâi mn̄g tō-lí; in tiong-kan chi̍t-ê seng chhut siaⁿ kóng, Sian-siⁿ ah, chhéng-kàu.
Goá chiū ìn i kóng, Khí-kám! Tāi-ke sī bô saⁿ-khì-hiâm chiah beh lâi sio-tông-būn; taⁿ tāi-ke chhiáⁿ chē, khoàⁿ beh gī-lūn sím-mi̍h tō-lí ?
In chi̍t ê chiū kóng, Sian-siⁿ, goá siông-siông teh siūⁿ lín Iâ-so͘-kàu só͘ kóng ê tō-lí, ta̍k-hāng to-sī hó; to̍k-to̍k chit chat bô bo̍k-chú m̄ hó. Chiàu goá phah-sǹg Siōng-tè tio̍h pài, bo̍k-chú ia̍h tio̍h pài, in-uī ū Siōng-tè, ia̍h tio̍h ū pē-bú.
Hit ê tē jī ê chiū sūn i ê chhuì-bé kóng, Chiàⁿ sī, nā oē án-ni chin hó; goá phah-sǹg lín Sèng-kàu nā chún lâng soà pài bo̍k-chú, tek-khak oē chin choē lâng lâi ji̍p-kàu; in-uī ū choē-choē lâng m̄-káⁿ lâi ji̍p-kàu, chiū-sī kiaⁿ chí chit chat: goá pún-sin ia̍h sī án-ni; siat-sú m̄-sī in-uī kiaⁿ chit chat, chá-chá í-keng lâi liáu lah!
Goá chiū ìn i kóng, Jī-uī siùⁿ-kang ì-sù lóng tio̍h, put-kò sī bē-bat thiaⁿ-kìⁿ Siōng-tè ê cha̍p-tiâu-kài nā-tiāⁿ. Lūn Siōng-tè ê cha̍p-tiâu-kài, ū giâm-giâm kìm lâng m̄-thang pài thiⁿ-téng toē-ē chuí-lāi bān-hāng-mi̍h ê siōng; só͘-í hoān ji̍p Sèng-kàu ê lâng, put-lūn sím-mi̍h siōng lóng m̄ káⁿ pài.

木主 就是中國第一tuì重ê柴像;濟濟人tuì重木主,比tuì重逐號ê柴像koh較要緊;因為in扑算木主是in ê父母公媽,所以第一tuì重--伊。
也真濟人講,lín耶穌教ê人,教人無拜佛,che較會講--得,總是教人無父母公媽,這節大m̄著;因為無父母公媽m̄是人。án-ni聽人所講ê話,就thang知世俗攏是認木主做in ê父母公媽是明。Koh看in ê款式,m̄ 若tuì重伊親像父母公媽nā-tiāⁿ;也是跪拜服事來敬--伊,比敬生伊身軀ê父母,koh較到禮;因為生伊身軀ê父母,活擔時,bē-bat看見有人親像án-ni服事--伊;足見世俗tuì重木主,比tuì重父母禮數行較到。
查考通中國ê人,差不多是án-ni,代代相傳已經久;實在oh-tit改換;所以人聽咱講道理,攏是嫌咱無父母公媽;因為咱無親像in跪拜服事,所以in大家嫌咱無父母公媽;風俗到chiah亂,大阻擋道理。有人因為這節心大m̄甘願,就起窘逐攪擾。有人因為這節大受氣,就起相爭辯駁。有人因為án-ni怨恨,就起謠言毀謗。有人因為án-ni m̄歡喜,就起厭賤拒絕ê款式。看逐所在傳道理,所tú--著常常án-ni;所以傳道ê人常常掛慮這節ê事。牧師兄弟也濟濟人有想這節ê道理,看著怎樣來議論,到會hō͘伊明明白白,thang hō͘人ê心通達,到會歡喜降服信咱ê主耶穌ê真理。
也濟濟人想m̄知著設甚物法度,thang hō͘人無嫌咱無父母公媽;án-ni 向望較boē hō͘人m̄肯聽咱講道理。所以逐所在牧師kap傳道--ê,以及眾兄弟,常常有議論這節木主ê事。今將傳道ê人,kap聽道ê朋友,所相kap議論ê話,大略記載tī下底。諒逐所在ê中國人差不多是án-ni,所以記載hō͘大家thang看;向望會利益逐所在ê教會,kap逐所在ê眾人,是心所願。
早有兩個聽道ê人,就近我來問道理;in中間一個先出聲講,先生啊,請教。
我就應伊講,豈敢!大家是無相棄嫌chiah beh來相同問;今大家請坐,看beh議論甚物道理?
In一個就講,先生,我常常teh想lín耶穌教所講ê道理,逐項都是好;獨獨這節無木主m̄好。照我扑算上帝著拜,木主也著拜,因為有上帝,亦著有父母。
Hit 個第2個就順伊ê嘴尾講,正是,若會án-ni真好;我扑算lín聖教若准人續拜木主,的確會真濟人來入教;因為有濟濟人m̄敢來入教,就是驚指這節;我本身也是án-ni;設使m̄是因為驚這節,早早已經來了lah!
我就應伊講,二位相公意思攏著,不過是bē-bat聽見上帝ê十條戒nā-tiāⁿ。論上帝ê十條戒,有嚴嚴禁人m̄-thang拜天頂地下水內萬項物ê像;所以凡入聖教ê人,不論甚物像攏m̄敢拜。
